My approach blends somatic & embodiment practices with therapeutic yoga & tools for you to increase your bodily awareness.
Our bodies are our compass, and if we can learn and respond to the language of the body, we can integrate our traumas, freeing up space to allow more ease and joy into our lives
If you are someone who has experienced trauma, there can often be a disconnect from the self and the body which can present in many ways that impact your day to day level of functioning, often diminishing joy in your life. Somatic & Embodiment Coaching has many benefits and slowly works towards reconnecting you with a felt sense of safety within the body, whilst providing practices that nourish the nervous system. Compassion is also a strong thread that runs through this approach as this allows you to see the patterns in the nervous system that once kept you safe from harm, and lovingly and compassionately let them go.

Work with me 1:1, using a blend of therapeutic yoga, somatic & embodiment practices, psychoeducation of the nervous system, and rest.
These 60 minute sessions are tailored to suit you and the needs of your nervous system. I use an anti-pathology, trauma-informed approach (APTI) and hold space for you to explore and reconnect to your body with the use of various practices and teachings to suit you.
This a beautiful way to slowly and compassionately learn the language of your body and reconnect with your true self, which can get lost if you have experienced trauma. I truly believe that there is nothing wrong with you at your core, and that you have the ability to heal from trauma so that it does not continue to rule your life.
At a certain points, your survival mechanisms and behaviors served you well to keep you safe. But, you may now be feeling your inner sense willing you to move forward.
If this resonates with you, these 1:1 sessions with me can support you to increase your mind body unity, access the wisdom of your body and increase joy, vitality and ease in your life.
Having a regulated and resourced nervous system does not mean that you will never be triggered again or experience uncomfortable or even distressing emotions. However, It does mean that you will increase your capacity to hold all of life with its ups and downs and all the in-betweens. Being able to regulate your emotions means that you can say yes to all that life presents to you, expressing all emotions and recovering from them.
It is suggested that you work with me in 1-1 sessions for at least 6 weeks to make a commitment to your healing. If weekly feels like too much, a plan can be arranged. Please book a connection call or contact me for more details.

A women’s only closed group, based upon therapeutic yoga, mental health & nervous system health.
Closed groups are based at grow yoga, where we believe that community is a piece of the healing process. This group hopes to connect you with community as well as healing practices, that includes blending polyvagal theory with therapeutic yoga.
We work in 4 week phases, 4 weeks on, 1 week off, repeated through the year.
Closed groups cost £64 per phase ,(4 weeks). If you’d like to leave the group, please give us at least two weeks notice so that we can advertise the spot 💗
At Grow Yoga Sheffield. Every Tuesday, 7.30pm - 8.30pm, 4 weeks on, 1 week off.
What is a closed group?
In a closed group, you practice with the same group of people weekly. There are no drop in slots available, and everyone commits to at least a four week phase. If you want to stay longer, that’s great! If you want to leave - no problem - all we ask for is two weeks notice, so that we can fill your space.
Closed groups are helpful for therapeutic groups as they bring a sense of safety, familiarity and community into the process.
What happens in this group?
Katie will facilitate a space where you can begin to experience and respond to life from an embodied place, instead of striving to meet the demands of society if they do not fit you.
In this work, you are essentially restructuring your relationship with your body, your community and the demands of society, which is a slow process that requires some level of devotion.
This weekly group can hold you accountable and hold the space for you to develop in this way.
This group uses awareness, breath, movement, sound and touch to facilitate this deeper sense of connection and attunement with your body.
Logistics / T&Cs
Fee £64 per phase
4 weeks on, 1 week off, repeat.
Once you have a space in the group, it’s yours until you decide to leave.
We ask for two weeks notice if you’re to leave a group, allowing us time to fill your slot.
You will pay for the phase upfront, if you cannot attend a class we cannot offer a refund, this is because we can’t offer the spare place to a drop in client due to the nature of the closed group.
