Holding space for you to come home to yourself

At the heart of my work is the belief that recovery begins with self-awareness and gentle reconnection. Through my unique blend of Somatic & Embodiment practices and Therapeutic Yoga, I offer a supportive space for you to explore practices that nurture your nervous system, restore balance, and cultivate inner strength and wisdom.

Whether you’re navigating the effects of past trauma, seeking tools to cope with stress and anxiety, or simply craving a deeper connection with your body, I aim to empower you to gently rediscover your sense of calm and ease. My work is designed to help you remember your unique medicine & find comfort within your own body, and move forward with greater confidence and clarity.

Through 1:1 sessions, yoga classes, group workshops, and online courses, I work with you to soothe overwhelm, release tension, and develop practices for ongoing mental, emotional, and physical well-being. Every session is rooted in compassion, body awareness, and practical tools to support you on your healing journey.

Are you ready?

Hello, my name is Katie and I am a Somatic & Embodiment Coach, Trauma Informed Yoga teacher, and an NMC registered Mental Health Nurse.

I have found that recovery from trauma and mental health difficulties is a slow unwinding of patterns, behaviours and healing the nervous system and I will continue to be a student of life for as long as I am here, and hold space for others to remember their power.

The human experience can be dark and messy, but it can also be joyful and ecstatic. Recovering from trauma can build your capacity to experience and hold ALL of life with the highs and lows and all in between.

Please reach out if you are interested in working with me.

1-1 Somatic & Embodiment Coaching

Reconnecting and bringing awareness to the body can be a transformative homecoming and unwinding back to who you truly are; supporting you to live your life from a space of ease.

Our lives are lived through our bodies and we can store a lot of trauma and patterns within our tissues; which can often show up as mental health difficulties, physical pain and autoimmune conditions to name but a few.

Talking therapies can be so empowering in helping us to intellectually understand parts of ourselves and why we may show up in life the way that we do. However, if you are someone who has explored talking therapies and you still feel that something is a bit off; a piece is missing or you feel stuck with something in particular; Somatic Coaching may be the missing link you have been looking for.

Within these one hour sessions, I will hold space for you to reconnect to your felt sense by offering a blend of somatic practices, therapeutic yoga, slow movement and breathing practices, as well as psychoeducation of the nervous system.

Sessions are led by your own individual needs which are established through an assessment in the first session. Then, we work together with whatever is showing up for you in your life within the sessions; moving slowly and compassionately so as not to overwhelm you or your nervous system.

Sessions are based within the beautiful surroundings of Grow Yoga studio in Sheffield.

Feel free to reach out via email, DM or by booking a free 30 minute connection call.

A minimum six-week commitment is recommended.

Client Feedback

"I have been lucky enough to attend several of Katie's yoga classes.

Katie creates a warm, nurturing and inclusive space to guide people through her yoga classes.

Katie beautifully combines theoretical and practical aspects of yoga, teaching some of the philosophy and theory behind the practice.

I have been to two very gentle chair yoga classes, suitable for beginners or people with restricted mobility and also a soothing and nurturing women only class.

As a yoga teacher and a mental health nurse, Katie has a wonderful understanding of holistic and trauma informed approaches and mind-body connections.

I always immediately feel at ease and safe in Katie's classes, Katie encourages people to arrive at the yoga practice exactly as they are on that day and there are no expectations to "force" anything physically, mentally or spiritually but lots of warmth, nurturing and acceptance of listening to our bodies, minds and souls.

I have always come away from Katie's yoga sessions feeling more relaxed, compassionate and accepting of myself and others.

I look forward to attending many more sessions in the future."

Frequently asked questions

Got questions? I've got answers.

Are your yoga classes suitable for beginners?

Yes, absolutely. One of the most important parts to my work is that it is inclusive and accessible. If you are new to yoga or experienced, you will be very welcome to join and adaptations will be given if required. You can book your first Trauma Recovery class HERE.

Do I need any special equipment for a Coaching or Yoga class?

No, you don't need to bring anything with with as all equipment is provided at the studio.

How is trauma recovery Yoga different from a ‘normal’ yoga class?

Yoga for Trauma recovery is a shorter class so as not to overwhelm the nervous system. It also incorporates relational and invitational language and the movement and practices are specifically designed to support you with tools and practices you can use outside of class in your day to day life, to build a resourced nervous system.
